Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

RightClick Vault is a Chrome extension that saves images you choose into a PIN-locked, encrypted vault stored on your own device. This policy explains exactly what data the extension touches, and — just as importantly — what it doesn't.

What stays on your device

Every image you save, the folders you organize them into, and the salt/verifier used to check your PIN are stored entirely in your browser's local storage (IndexedDB). Images are encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived from your PIN before they're ever written to disk. None of this — not your images, not your PIN, not your folder names — is transmitted anywhere or visible to us. We don't operate a server that could see it even if we wanted to.

What the extension can access

To do its job, the extension can read the page you right-click on (to save the image you selected) and insert content into a field you right-click on (to paste an image back). It only acts when you explicitly use its right-click menu options — it does not read, log, or transmit your browsing activity, page contents, or anything else in the background.

Payment data (only if you unlock unlimited storage)

The free version caps storage at a small number of images. If you choose to unlock unlimited storage with a one-time payment, that purchase is handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe, our payment processors. Here's exactly what that involves:

  • The extension sends a randomly generated, anonymous key (created on your device) to ExtensionPay to check whether that key has an associated payment. No images, PIN, folder names, or browsing data are included in this request.
  • If you choose to pay, you're taken to ExtensionPay's hosted checkout page (powered by Stripe) in a normal browser tab. Your payment details are entered there, directly with Stripe — this extension never sees or handles your card information.
  • We don't know who you are unless you contact us directly. There's no account, email signup, or login required to use the free tier.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

RightClick Vault doesn't include any advertising, analytics, or usage-tracking code. We don't know how many images you've saved, what they are, or how you use the extension.
